It's a hot one, folks! Yep, a CD dedicated to the wonderful summer months (not that we get much of that here in the UK) but this album was recorded especially for all you sun-worshippers out there. Recorded earlier in 2024 and released on Foot Tapping Records, this very special CD features the legendary radio DJ, Mike Read on vocals with Darrel providing the musical instruments, along with Steve Webb on backing vocals. The idea was to record traditional English and American folk songs with new lyrics, written by Mike, and given Rock n Roll arrangements by Darrel. The end result can be heard on this CD.

During the lockdowns I recorded several albums for Bandcamp. The idea was simply to pay the bills the best way possible after all the gigs were taken away. However, many of these sites, that are supposedly set up to 'help' musicians, usually end up becoming a victim of their own success and get too greedy or too invasive with their policies. So I ended my small contribution with Bandcamp as soon as the gigs came back. 

So a version of this album appeared as a download only for a short period. The reaction to it was very good with many people asking if I would consider releasing it on CD in the future. So here it is! It was taken into Embassy Studios and Graham Dominy worked his magic with a fabulous remix and master. It sounds so much better for his contribution and I'm genuinely proud of the end result.
